The Assistant Project Manager (APM) will support the successful planning, coordinion, and execution of electrical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role works closely with Project Managers, field teams, vendors, subcontractors, and clients to ensure projects remain on schedule, within budget, and aligned with company quality and safety standards.
The ideal candide is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
Project Coordinion
Support Project Managers with daily project execution and coordinion activities
Track project schedules, milestones, and deliverables
Coordine with field supervision, vendors, subcontractors, and clients
Assist with manpower planning and merial logistics
Participe in project meetings, job walks, and coordinion sessions
Financial & Cost Control
Process and track:
Purchase Orders (POs)
Subcontracts
Change Orders
RFIs and Submittals
Monitor:
Job costs
Labor productivity
Budget versus actual costs
Billing progress
Assist with monthly cost projections and Estimed Cost to Complete (ECC) reporting
Support change pricing and proposal updes
Documention Management
Maintain project files and closeout documention
Track and organize:
As-builts/redlines
O&M manuals
Warranty documention
Inspections and permits
Manage drawing revisions and document control processes
Field & Operions Support
Coordine with:
Superintendents
Foremen
BIM/VDC teams
Safety personnel
Assist in resolving merial shortages and field-reled issues
Support project execution through regular communicion with field teams
Client & Vendor Communicion
Maintain professional communicion with:
General Contractors
Owners
Suppliers
Engineers
Assist with proposal requests and pricing updes
Help build and maintain strong client and vendor relionships
Safety & Compliance
Ensure project documention aligns with company and jobsite safety requirements
Assist with:
Jobsite compliance tracking
Training records
Permit coordinion
Quality control documention
Typical Daily Tasks
Reviewing RFIs and submittals
Upding project schedules
Processing merial releases
Tracking deliveries and procurement stus
Attending coordinion and progress meetings
Reviewing labor and production reports
Assisting with change order pricing
Upding BuildOps, Procore, and ERP systems
Coordining project closeout items
Strong organizional and communicion skills
Ability to read and interpret electrical plans and specificions
Knowledge of NEC and general construction processes
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and project management software
Strong time management and multitasking abilities
Ability to problem-solve in a fast-paced environment under schedule pressure
Preferred Experience
Experience in electrical construction or commercial/industrial construction environments preferred
Familiarity with Procore, BuildOps, Bluebeam, or ERP systems is a plus
Understanding of project cost tracking and construction documention processes preferred

Compension Range: $65K - $75K
